Sanjay Govil, an American entrepreneur with Indian roots, leads the Washington Freedom. He is dedicated to uniting communities through cricket. The team has partnered with Cricket New South Wales (CNSW) to bolster the sport’s growth in the United States.
The Washington home ground is set to be at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, designed as a hybrid stadium for cricket and baseball. The stadium has a capacity of up to 12,000 spectators and it is expected for completion in summer 2025.
